Base Camp
Nestled away in the breath-taking, panoramic vistas of Namibia, Base Camp is an oasis of tranquility. With all the creature comforts you’d need, such as hot running showers, flushing toilets and solar powered electricity.
Our stunning area is a rare meeting place of three different biomes, all covered by majestic views of our Milky Way once the sun descends. The environment encompasses breath-taking rocky canyons and mountains created 200 million years ago, pristine sandy beaches, deserts and beautiful lush banks around the Orange River. Nowhere else in the world can you explore new territories on mountain bike trails in the morning, handle small reptiles and mammals in the afternoon and track leopard at night. Adventure while you help to preserve and enhance this geologically rich and diverse landscape and your individual interests will help guide your journey!
On RE:DISCOVER journeys, we like to keep groups small. This helps you better assimilate into the local communities you'll be visiting, and gives space for you to truly connect and get to know your fellow travel mates. Group size will vary between 6 and 12 people.
You will be sharing with one of your co-travelers. Maybe your next BFF or TBFL (travel buddy for life)? Because we try to gather people with similar interests who are in the same place in life, we're convinced that you will find people to bond with on your trip, and one of the best ways is to share a room with them.
We recommend that you do! Either arrive early and get a feel of a your destination or stay after your journey is complete. We've set this trip to two weeks so that you won't have to take off too much time from work, but if this is not a concern of yours, well, then it's almost an obligation to stay a bit longer.
Did we not answer all of your questions? Not to worry – you can always ask! There are no stupid questions. Well, not a lot anyway. We're always happy to help – even if some questions might be silly to us, if we haven't answered them clearly by now, it's on us.
Plus, we love it when you get in touch!
